Tioga Paddle Trail

The Tioga County leg of the Susquehanna River offers paddlers of all ages and experience a fun and relaxing adventure on the water. With several boat launches throughout the county, the trail is easily accessible and can be enjoyed in different lengths, from a day-trip to a short paddle. This portion of the Susquehanna is nestled between tree covered hills and is serene and scenic. Expect to see a lot of birds, including the Great Blue Heron, Egrets and Bald Eagles. One of the unique features of the paddle trail is Hiawatha Island, a large, wooded island with hiking trails whose history includes a hotel, steamboats and even a farm. The trail goes through the Village of Owego which has places to stop for a cool beverage or a break for lunch. If you are traveling through the Finger Lakes with your boat, there are places to stay and camp on the river. For more information and itineraries, click here. Happy paddling!
