JOIN THE ADVENTURE
So what is GeoCaching anyway? The worlds largest treasure hunt of course! Participants use a (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. Whether you’re new to the game or an experienced “cacher” the Tioga GeoTour is rewarding for everyone! Begin by downloading your Tioga County Passport today!
HOW IT WORKS
1. Visit www.geocaching.com or download the Geocaching App. Register your user-name. Basic membership is free. There’s also a handy Video instruction for beginners below.
2. Find the Tioga GeoTour and locate each Experience Tioga GeoTour cache and write down the codeword on the passport log.
3. Record your finds on www.geocaching.com. Feel free to add to the Photo Gallery!
4. Fill out the passport and bring it in person or mail it to:

Earn 30 points and receive an Experience Tioga Geocoin. Earn 25 points and receive an Experience Tioga GeoTour t-shirt.
HOW TO EARN EXTRA POINTS
*Up to 6 extra points will be accepted unless there are less than 24 active caches at the time you take the tour.
2 POINTS: Unscramble the phrase hidden in the log codes. Write the phrase anywhere on this form.
1 POINT: Bring a receipt from an independent restaurant, retail store, paid event or hotel/bed and breakfast. Chain hotels are okay. No fast food chains, gas stations, or chain retail stores. MUST BE IN TIOGA COUNTY, NY.
