Home Brewed Comedy at the John Barleycorn

November 30 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn. Tyler Rothrock is headlining the show and Kris Fried and Greg Owens are joining host Mike Peters.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there’s a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle, and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske, and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Greg Owens is a Philadelphia transplant who moved to western New York to raise his family. He’s been entertaining audiences with his sardonic takes on suburban life, teenagers, and middle age ever since. He recently left the corporate world because making laughs is way more enjoyable than making money. Owens has featured Bobby Collins, Bobby Slayton, Jimmy Shubert, Moody McCarthy, and Earl David Reed.
A stand-up comedian and writer, Kris Fried, is from the Lehigh Valley, Pa., area. He’s a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York City and a panelist on Fox News’ The Greg Gutfeld Show. He’s appeared in sketches on Conan O’Brien and written material for SNL’s Weekend Update, Attack of the Show! and the WWE. His album, “We’re All Adults Here,” reached No. 7 on the iTunes comedy charts, and his second album, “It Takes a Privilege,” came out in February 2022.
Tyler Rothrock has been doing stand-up for more than a decade. His debut comedy album, “Tyler of Nazareth,” was released in 2018 and reached No. 8 on the Billboard comedy chart. He’s appeared in the New York Comedy Festival and is the co-creator of ComedyPlatz at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa. He hosts the comedy/golf show, Tee’d Up and is the co-host of the Night Moves podcast with Sean Preston and Lou Misiano.
