Consists of two fascinating exhibitions based on the farming experience in Tioga County.
The first exhibit, Farming: The Original Family Business, will feature artifacts, images, and video, connecting visitors to Tioga County’s rich farming and agricultural history. Learn about the harvest production on small family farms throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, family roles on the farm, and the ongoing struggles of these local family-run operations.
The second exhibit, Women: The Invisible Farmers showcases the history of women on the farm. Women played an important role on the farm, which is largely overshadowed. This exhibit will expose the hard work women put forth on the farm: from cooking, cleaning, raising children, and gardening, to helping manage the farm.
Open Wednesday though Saturday 10 am-4 pm.
