Tioga Antique Trail
Tioga County is one of the oldest settlements in the Southern Tier of New York State. Situated on the mighty Susquehanna River and sprawling out onto rural farmlands, the colonial history and the pastoral beauty of the county make for a charming and rewarding antiquing experience. Hunt for hidden treasures off the beaten path as you enjoy scenic routes between rural shops, or visit the many antique shops within the Village of Owego.
Owego has seen a resurgence of antique businesses ranging from large, multiple-vendor centers with antiques of all kinds, small shops with a distinctive style.
Not only will you make wonderful discoveries in Tioga County, but you will enjoy a quaint, rural, small-town experience. In the Villages of Owego and Waverly, antique shops are situated in enchanting, walkable downtowns, with gift shops, galleries and eateries to enrich your visit. Other restaurants, pubs, diners, farm stores, markets, parks, historic sites, orchards, shops and entertainment such as horse racing and gambling, can all be found when traveling around the county to the more outlying antique shops in Nichols, Candor and Newark Valley.
Exceptional Bed & Breakfasts are located throughout the county, ranging in character from Victorian to country, luxury to rustic. There are also locally owned and chain hotels and motels. No matter what your taste, you will find a comfortable place to rest and rejuvenate in Tioga County.
